FishTracker Gulf ("the App") is a personal fishing log application. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is stored, and how it is used.
The App allows you to voluntarily record the following information:
All data stays on your device. The App stores data locally on your iPhone using on-device storage. If you have iCloud enabled, a backup of your data (excluding photos) may sync to your personal iCloud account. No data is stored on servers owned or operated by us.
The App contacts the following public data services to auto-populate weather, tide, and sea condition information when you capture a GPS location:
These services receive only geographic coordinates or station identifiers. No personal information, device identifiers, or account data is transmitted.
The App provides export features (PDF reports, CSV spreadsheets, JSON backups) that you may choose to share via AirDrop, Messages, email, or other means. When you export data, you control who receives it. The App includes an option to exclude GPS coordinates and location names from exports for privacy.
You can delete individual entries, spots, trips, and bait logs from within the App at any time. A "Clear All Data" option in Settings permanently deletes all stored data from your device. To remove iCloud backup data, delete the App's iCloud storage through your iPhone's Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App does not require an account and does not collect personal information beyond what the user voluntarily enters.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
